Principal's Message

August 9, 2019

Dear Ridgepoint Families,

My name is Will Pope, and I am very excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Ridgepoint Elementary School.  My goals are to ensure that all children are learning, all families are connected, and all staff members are inspired.  I am honored to be joining your school community, and I will work as hard as I can to meet these goals and continue the success that Ridgepoint is known for.

I come to you with a wide variety of educational experiences.  I have worked in the former Rio Linda Union School District and Twin Rivers Unified School District for the past twenty-three years.  I taught students in the 2nd, 5th, and 6th grades at three of our district’s schools.  I also worked as an instructional coach at Pioneer Elementary and as the vice principal at Foothill Ranch Middle School.  For the past seven years, I served as the principal at Kohler PK-8 School.  I feel privileged to have served this district as an educator of elementary and middle school children, and I am very excited to continue this work with you at Ridgepoint.

I believe that close home-school partnerships help create a positive place for children to learn and grow.  I also believe that students perform best when they feel confident about themselves and proud of their school.  I look forward to an educational partnership that will nurture the hearts and minds of your children.

Once again, I am so thankful to have the opportunity to serve this wonderful community.  I look forward to meeting you at the First Day Celebration or early in the school year.  See you soon!
