Principal's Message, 22-23
Dear Ridgepoint families,
Hello Ridgepoint families, students, and staff. I’m Doug Emerson and I will be the new principal of Ridgepoint School for the 2022-23 school year. I couldn’t be more pleased to be joining Ridgepoint. I have deep roots in the Twin Rivers district, where I have spent the last forty years of my life. As a child I attended Oakdale Elementary School, as well as Foothill Junior and Senior High Schools. After graduating, I began coaching basketball, soccer, and track at Foothill High School. I even completed my student teaching at Joyce School and Pioneer School. I spent fourteen years teaching third and sixth grades at Frontier School before becoming the vice principal. I was then fortunate enough to become principal of Hillsdale School for two years and then Foothill Ranch Middle School.
I am so excited to be part of the Ridgepoint family. I know the teachers and staff work extremely hard, encouraging and guiding our students to reach new heights of academic success. They share my vision of continuing to make our school a positive place for students to grow and learn, both academically and socially. My first priority is always to think about what is best for our kids, and I will do everything I can to support the Ridgepoint staff so that every student can be successful in growing academically, socially, and emotionally. My goal is that Ridgepoint will remain a school that the community can be proud of.
I’m looking forward to this school year and serving as your principal.
Respectfully,
Doug Emerson
22-23 Ridgepoint Principal
