Kids Can Food Drive

Kids Can

Ridgepoint has begun the KCRA Kids Can Food Drive. This is an opportunity for you to do something good for your community. Please bring in any canned, boxed, and other non-perishable food items and put them in your child's class collection box. The most needed items are canned meat, canned vegetables, pasta, pasta sauce, beans, rice, cereal, peanut butter, and baby food. Please do not bring in anything in a glass container or items that need to be refrigerated. Food items will be collected through November 11th. Thank you for your support. 

Common Core Practice Test

Students in Grades 3 thru 8 will be taking the Smarter Balanced test for the first time starting at the end of April. The Smarter Balanced test is the new state test. If you would like to view and try the test, you may by clicking on the following link: Smarter Balance Practice Test  (if you have problems accessing the test, you may need to change your web browser). Follow the following steps:

1) Click "Sign In" (do not fill in any information)
2) Select "Grade Level"
3) Click "Yes"
4) Click on the test type you would like to take
5) Click "Select" (at the bottom)
6) Click "Yes, start my test" (at the bottom)
7) Click "Begin test now"

Notes: Do not fill in any other information than what is asked for above! You must respond to a question in order to go on. To exit the test - Click "Pause" (top right corner), click "yes", click "close secure browser" (top right)

Red Ribbon Week is a week where saying no to drugs is one of our focuses. To get kids into the spirit of the week, we have given each day a theme. The themes for the week are:

Monday - Crazy Sock Day - "Sock it to drugs"
Tuesday - Sports Day - "Team Up Against Drugs"
Wednesday - Wacky Hair Day - Cause "Drugs Are Wacky!"
Thursday - Wear Red Day - To Support The Fight Against Drugs
Friday - PJ Day - "Don't Sleep On The Fight Against Drugs"
